| VISAS
No visa is necessary for UK nationals. Visitors can stay for 3 months. A valid passport with at least six months beyond the date of entry is necessary. If you wish to stay longer you can apply to the local police department.
Residence
An application will have to be made to the Moroccan Embassy, further information is available from the Moroccan Embassy at 49 Queensgate Gardens, London SW7 5NE – opening times 10am – 1pm Monday to Friday.
Employment
An application will have to be made by your employer for a work permit and to obtain residency on your behalf.
Customs
In conformity with the recommendations of the international conventions on the free movement of persons and the temporary admission of the items they bring, and within the framework of the action carried out by the Moroccan Administration to receive tourists (as well as Moroccans living abroad) wishing to spend their holidays in Morocco, visitors shall benefit from the temporary admission regime which allows the importation of goods while suspending the fees and taxes applicable to them.
How can I take pooch?
It is possible to take your pets into Morocco provided they have:
- Anti-rabies certificates must be issued at most six months before the entry
- An International Certificate of Health issued not later than 6 days prior to entry

Passenger ferries are available from Sete and Algeciras in Spain over to Tangiers and Sebta.
Driving
It is possible to drive to Morocco via Spain through Malaga and Algeciras picking up a ferry to Tangiers. We do not recommend you travel by car in August as it is extremely busy. Most Moroccans who live abroad like to come home for August so only for the very patient!
